Philanthropy Week: Dasra - Network Capital Partnership
Network Capital is proud to announce a partnership with Dasra, India’s leading strategic philanthropy foundation for the 12th Edition of the GlobalDasra Philanthropy Week, which is being held virtually from 15th-18th March 2021.
“We offered a way for readers to figuratively escape the confines of their homes and dream a little. And gave hope at a time when we all needed it most,” stated Founder of The Jurni, Priyam Sharma.
The Jurni is a newsletter focused on culture and travel, and caters to the global Indian millennial. Read more.
Donald Winnicott was an English paediatrician who proposed that the happiness of the human race depended on the way parents bring up their children. All perversions of humanity were, in his view, a failure of parental provision: from fascism to misogyny to drug abuse. The road to a better society begins in the nursery.
Whether you are a parent or not, you should consider reading “Home is Where We Start From”.
Listen to customers, but don’t just listen to customers—also invent on their behalf. An example is Amazon Web Services (AWS). No one asked for AWS. No one. Turns out the world was in fact ready and hungry for an offering like AWS but didn’t know it. Bezos had a hunch, followed his curiosity, took the necessary financial risks, and began building—reworking, experimenting, and iterating countless times.
His unparalleled ability to network allowed the grandson of a sharecropper to become “one of the most connected men in America.” Jordan was the civil rights movement’s ambassador to boardrooms. Henry Louis Gates predicted that “historians will remember Vernon Jordan as the Rosa Parks of Wall Street.”
