Dear readers,

Building an interesting, adventures and meaningful career is complex and confusing. There are many unknown-unknowns, along with volatile socio-economic conditions. On Network Capital, our goal is to provide you with insightful content and reliable community to navigate your meandering career. So this week, start with a recap of all content on NC -

💌 Excellent Life Advice from Kevin Kelley - Kevin Kelly is the founding executive editor of Wired magazine, and a former editor/publisher of the Whole Earth Review. He has also been a writer, photographer, conservationist, and student of Asian and digital culture. His new book is sprinkled with profound wisdom. Here are the best bits.

💌 From Drug Addiction to Founding a Media Empire Valued at $6Billion: The Story of the Rise and Fall of VICE Media - Eventually, he started VICE with $10,000. He could not get a loan from anywhere. He formed a team that was short on credentials but had oodles of hustle. They didn't have a business plan and they didn't wear suits. They did what they knew best - fill the authenticity vacuum by reporting stories about matters that interest people.

💌 When you are looking for a job, remember that somewhere an employer is desperately hunting for someone like you especially if you are unconventional - Getting that dream job entails seeking problems and people that need us the most. We need to look for them and also create conditions for them to find us. Then at the right time, with some luck, things work out.

Outcome Driven Mentorship Program

This is a proven method of career coaching and mentorship that has been delivering results from the time Network Capital was born. Over the years, we have been able to build one of the strongest communities in the world by enabling thousands of subscribers navigate high-stake transitions.

Come to us with a clear goal in mind and we will do the rest. The effort will be yours but we will ensure that you get most value out of every hour you spend working towards that goal.

New Masterclass

Deepti Kapoor is an Indian author and journalist currently based in Portugal. Her first novel, A Bad Character, was published in 2015. In 2023, Kapoor published her second novel, Age of Vice, whose rights were sold to FX Studio for a major TV series. Age of Vice has been called “India’s answer to The Godfather” by The Guardian. Kapoor’s novel is a sprawling, ambitious work of social realism, in which the culture and conditions of modern Delhi contextualize the rise of the Wadia family crime syndicate.

In this masterclass, she talks about -

  1. The art of writing an Indian book for a global audience

  2. Translating social observation into gripping fiction.

  3. The journey of writing a deeply researched fiction book

Have a wonderful week ahead.
— Your Network Capital Team

“Fiction is like a spider's web, attached ever so lightly perhaps, but still attached to life at all four corners.” ― Virginia Woolf
