What we learned together on Network Capital this week?

Dear readers,

Hope you had a rejuvenating weekend. Ours was certainly adventurous. Utkarsh found himself in the English countryside for a friend’s wedding. During his way back, trains got cancelled and he could not find an Uber so he did what every self respecting hustler does. He took off his shoes, put the laptop on it at an angle, connected his phone in the middle of a park and delivered an online lecture in the ongoing Web 3.0 and Crypto fellowship.

We are thrilled to launch our new fellowship - Your First $1000 Online!

Everyone has a super power but we tend to ignore it wrongly choosing the hotter option or the easier option. We tend to ignore our intrinsic curiosity for what’s popular today and end up with suboptimal results. The goal of the fellowship is to help you figure out what you are good at, what you love to do and what you can be paid for on the internet - with or without advertising revenue.

Classes start August 6, 2022. Limited slots are available, join now!

💌 Math Prodigy -> Entrepreneur ->Philosopher -> Monk - > Investor: The Case of GenZ Wizard Johnathan Bi - This 20 something investor has built his category of one by demystifying the teachings of philosopher Rene Girard who introduced the world to memetic desire. Girard, who has had a profound impact on some of the leading entrepreneurs and investors around the world, suggests that our desires are not original. We mimic/copy those we admire and aspire to become them. It leads to competing for the same jobs, the same outcomes, the same kind of romantic interests and a homogenization of tastes.

💌 Rene Girard, NASA Wonders, Douglas Adams and Airport Misadventures - Reading about the universe puts things in perspective. All our troubles, our wins and losses, seem trivial when visualized as part of the larger cosmic ecosystem. At least that’s what I am telling myself after my flight from London to Delhi got cancelled 3 hours before takeoff, putting my entire travel plan for the month out of control. I was really looking forward to seeing my parents and meeting the Network Capital Delhi community but Virgin Atlantic had other plans.

Learn from the best | Masterclasses:

  1. Understanding Gérard & Building A Portfolio Of Careers with Johnathan Bi

  2. Gambling on Development: Understanding Elite Bargain with Professor of Economic Policy at the Oxford Blavatnik School of Government Stefan Dercon
