Network Capital Fellowships
There is no formula for self-discovery. There have, however, been some attempts in the form of psychometric tests, algorithms and guided medical trials. No success stories so far but perhaps that isn’t such a bad thing. It will be a tad disappointing to know that our professional futures can be charted out by rudimentary algorithms. That said, are these rudimentary algorithms any worse than current ways of figuring out what next? Who knows…..
Whether you are a high school student, college senior, young graduate, mid-career professional, you will need to learn to reinvent yourself multiple times. It isn’t easy and you can’t do it alone. That said, it can be heaps on fun if you do it with a cohort of people you resonate with.
This age-agnostic fellowship will help you learn new things, read charming content, meet interesting people and discover what piques your curiosity. No one else can tell you what you should do. The decision needs to come from you but there are some proven techniques that can help figure out the problem that needs you the most. Isn’t that what your work should be about?

Mental bandwidth and the scarcity mindset
Too little of anything - time, money, friendship - contributes to the development of the scarcity mentality which has short-term benefits and long-term costs. Consider two people at opposite ends of the economic spectrum: an underprivileged worker who earns less than the minimum wage and a highly paid CEO who needs to take important decisions with insufficient time and information.
10 tips for planning career transitions
Career transitions aren’t just about work. They involve rethinking how we want to feel, our long term goals and how we want to spend our time and energy. When we feel the need for change, it isn’t necessarily the quest of a fancier title or more pay but this nagging feeling that we can do more, be more, feel more and achieve more.
The unfortunate byproduct of our obsession with compliance is that it comes at the cost of inspiration, innovation, risk taking and spontaneity. Think of any memorable moment/experience of your life - personal or professional. Do you think it was memorable because it followed a whole bunch of compliance norms and check boxes? Or was it because someone went over and above their prescribed roles and created an experience?
