The Sad Generalist. The Sad Specialist.

What a time to be graduating and looking for a job! If you have many interests and have pursued a wide range of projects, you are deemed a wayward generalist. Too scattered to put into the neat and tidy box of corporate employment.

If you have focused on one area and gone deep, you are branded as a hyper-specialist. You may get a few offers, but they will be very close to what you did before. Essentially, changing functions, industries, and geography is becoming hard.
