Quick summary of what we learned together on Network Capital
What we read, wrote, published this week
Before we get started, here is a quote that had us thinking all week.
“Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.”

10 Takeaways from the 10-Year Reunion at INSEAD
Dear subscribers, Before I left for my 10-year reunion at INSEAD, we published two interesting episodes on Network Capital. One by MIT professor Zeynep Ton and the other by one of my mentors Anoop Prakash who led Harley-Davidson when I interned there during my MBA. You might enjoy watching/listening to them.
Thinking of your life as a canon
Dear subscribers, I recently saw Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and without giving too many spoilers and the plot line away, I loved the way in which the writers of the movie engage with the idea of canons. In fiction and literature, the canon is the collection of works considered representative of a period or genre. The collected works of William Shakespeare, for instance, would be part of the canon of western literature, since his writing and writing style has had a significant impact on nearly all aspects of that genre. As you might have guessed, canons are not static. As the world of fiction and literature evolves, new canons also get created.
Who gets what and why
Dear subscribers, "Who Gets What and Why" is a book written by Alvin E. Roth, a Nobel laureate in economics, that explores the field of market design and how it affects the allocation of resources. The book focuses on various real-life examples and case studies to explain the principles behind matching markets and their impact on individuals and societies.
