Before we get started, here is a quote that had us thinking all week.
“Too much consistency is as bad for the mind as it is for the body. Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life. The only completely consistent people are the dead.” — Aldous Huxley
Dear readers,
The quality of the lives we lead ultimately comes down to the quality of our relationships. We can’t really replace relational satisfaction with professional achievement. People have tried, but in almost all cases, it doesn’t work out. That’s why I think it is time to replace “workism” and make relational intimacy and contribution the centerpiece of our identity.
It doesn’t necessarily mean making your partner your priority, although that can’t hurt. Focusing on relationships basically means placing the same amount of effort on interpersonal bonds as most ambitious people put on work.

Should you apply for something if you are too "diverse"?
Most organizations and institutions love to talk about diversity and inclusion, but talk is not action. Unfortunately, virtue signaling has become the norm. So what happens at several elite organizations is that they end up hiring exactly who they want, the typical candidate with the typical degrees and qualifications. They also get brownie points for putting up colorful posters and parroting popular narratives.
Why I left full-time Journalism to explore the world of Climate change..
