I have been thinking about long term consequences of our personal and professional decisions. It struck me that we have limited control on what will happen in the short term. In the next ten days, we can’t really make a fundamental change. Even if we manage, it will be hard to measure results and see if things worked out the way we expected.
However, we have a lot more control over the next 10 years. Unless some tragedy strikes or something happens beyond our control, our future self can be shaped by actions in the present.
